Founded in 2021, Friends of Lackota Animal Sanctuary (FoLAS) has been committed to rescuing equines from some of the most heartbreaking conditions imaginable—including the slaughter pipeline. Today, over 125 horses, donkeys, and mules call our 200-acre sanctuary in Nunn, Colorado home, where they are free, loved and safe.
OUR MISSION: To provide food, shelter, and medical care to equines, livestock, and other animals in need. FoLAS offers a peaceful, permanent home where animals live with dignity, free from fear, neglect, or harm.
